About this property

Welcome to Bohol Tropics Resort

Bohol Tropics Resort, situated on Graham Avenue in the heart of Tagbilaran City, Bohol, offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and tropical charm. This four-star resort, rated 4.1, appeals to travelers seeking ease of access to Bohol’s local attractions, including Alona Beach, the Tagbilaran ferry terminal, and the Bohol National Museum. Its location—just a kilometer from the airport and a short walk from lively eateries and shops—makes it an ideal base for both leisure and business visitors.

The resort boasts three expansive outdoor pools set amidst lush tropical landscaping, creating a serene environment perfect for relaxation. Guests appreciate the generally quiet atmosphere that complements the tropical vibe. Comfortable, air-conditioned rooms offer practical amenities like free Wi-Fi, room service, laundry service, and beach access, catering well to families and solo travelers alike. Breakfast is included, featuring a variety of dishes, though some international guests have noted a limited selection beyond traditional Filipino fare.

Staff friendliness is a highlight frequently mentioned by returning guests, contributing to a warm and welcoming environment. However, reviews suggest that service consistency can vary, especially in interactions with foreign visitors at the front desk and during dining. Attention to hospitality nuances could enhance the overall guest experience.

While the resort's facilities are functional and modern in many respects, some areas show signs of age, and occasional maintenance issues like cleanliness around pillows and pest sightings have been reported. These factors slightly detract from an otherwise positive stay but do not overpower the value offered at reasonable rates.

With amenities such as free parking, an on-site restaurant and bar, accessible facilities, and airport shuttle services, Bohol Tropics Resort is well-equipped to meet diverse traveler needs. Though it lacks a fitness center, its proximity to the beach and local attractions encourages guests to explore and enjoy the natural beauty and cultural richness of Bohol.

In summary, Bohol Tropics Resort balances affordability with tropical comfort, providing a dependable lodging choice in Tagbilaran City. For visitors prioritizing location, outdoor leisure, and friendly service, this resort continues to be a favored option. Addressing minor service inconsistencies and refreshing some facilities would elevate the guest experience further, promising memorable stays that reflect Bohol’s warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere.

This resort offers reasonable prices, including breakfast. It has three large pools, and the quiet atmosphere makes it a great place to relax. However, the facilities are a bit dated, and we saw cockroaches and the pillows smelled, which was a bit of a nuisance. Nevertheless, all the staff were friendly and helpful.

As a foreigner, I noticed I didn't get the same friendly greetings as the Filipino ahead of me in check in. At dinner, I had waitress, who took Mr order, brought my order. Then disappeared, not to be seen again. The male waiter, who worked the tables arounded me, ignored me and never asked me anything. But bent over backwards for the Filipino guess. Take renew orders, fillng glasses and taking photos. Again, I was the only foreigner. I couldn't even get his attention to pay. Ended up going to the bar and asked to pay. Besides that, was very new resort.

As a none filopino, I would have loved more options to the Breakfast. We don't ear rice, adobo, hot potatos or fish for breakfast. All in all an amazing place to stay.

I have stayed here many times when I was still in the Philippines, and I can honestly say it is a very nice place to stay. The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious with plenty of choices. When I go on vacation in the future, I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Bohol Tropics for one night while attending an event in Bohol. I opted for the Deluxe Horizon Room, which offered a lovely sea view. The resort was conveniently close to the port. The location made it very accessible, especially for a short stay. Overall, a comfortable and convenient choice for travelers. I just hope the reception staff could be a bit more friendly to make the guest experience even better.
